Tiny Camera

Volvox Tiny Camera

Volvox Tiny Camera

The Volvox USB Web Cam brings a little ingenuitiy to the mind-numbing world of web cam marketing, and certainly provides ample opportunities for naughtiness and legerdemain.

Made by digicam guts specialists Sydnt, the camera-in-flash-drive-clothing snaps onto the end of a USB extension cable and does its thing, offering a 1.3 megapixel resolution and able to shoot 30 frames per second of video. No dimensions are given, but it's about an inch wide and two long, comforming to the classic "suppository" school of USB dongle design.

Sunyang DNT, a Korean company, presents the Volvox which is an USB thumbdrive as well as a Webcam. The Volvox has a 1.3 Megapixel sensor which can capture video at 30fps with a 640×480 resolution. It is also a USB Flash drive with capacities of 512MB, 1GB or 2GB.
The suggested price for 512MB model is 55,000(KRW).

Worlds Smallest Hard Drive

Worlds Smallest Hard Drive

Its an 8GB hard drive! Toshiba showed off its tiny, 0.85-inch hard drive last night, which is so small that it may have to be slapped with a “choking hazard” warning. It actually has a Guinness Book of World Records entry and weighs all of 2 grams. The drive has just jumped from 4GB to 8GB…can 16GB be far behind?

At its storage booth, Toshiba also showed off external storage hard drives (the first it’s ever released), plus the first-ever writeable HD-DVD drives, in form factors for both desktop PCs and laptops.

Sea Organ - Musical Instrument

The Sea organ is an architectural object located in Zadar, Croatia and an experimental musical instrument which plays music by way of sea waves and tubes located underneath a set of large marble steps. The waves create somewhat random but harmonic sounds.

The device was made by the architect Nikola Bašić as part of the project to redesign the old city coast (riva), and the site was opened to the public on April 15, 2005.
